CIBC has announced it is launching Revival Rewards, a new program to support restaurants as they reopen across Canada.
Through the Revival Rewards program, clients who use their CIBC rewards credit cards, including Aeroplan, Aventura, and Dividend, to dine in, order takeout (including curbside pickup), or order delivery from local restaurants will receive double the rewards on their purchase, valid on up to $1,000 spent at restaurants between June 15 and August 4.
CIBC reports that over the last three months, credit card spending at restaurants has declined over 60 per cent and was down more than 70 per cent during the peak of the pandemic.
“From patio nights out with friends to weekend brunches with family, local restaurants serve as mainstays in our neighbourhoods,” said Laura Dottori-Attanasio, CIBC’s group head, personal and business banking. “As restaurant owners start to reopen their doors while observing public health measures to keep guests safe, we want to help revitalize these important businesses. Our Revival Rewards program is designed to help restaurant owners get back on their feet and underscores our commitment to providing support for small business owners.”
