Flanagan Foodservice’s 34th annual golf tournament was held on September 22 at Granite Ridge Golf & Country Club in Milton. Thanks to the support of many vendors, partners, customers, and employees, the event raised $65,000 for “We Care” towards their efforts in sending kids with disabilities to camp.
“We Care’s mission really resonates with us and it’s one that the foodservice industry really embraces. It’s such a great event to connect with people in the industry – especially as we are still coming out of the pandemic – for such a good cause,” said Barry Reid, VP of Sales and Marketing at Flanagan Foodservice.
Flanagan Foodservice is a Canadian, family-owned company that has been serving Ontario for over 45 years. With over 520 team members and 80 vehicles, Flanagan delivers foodservice products across Ontario and Southwestern Quebec.
“It was very exciting to be able to give this year’s donation from the event, combined with our employee contributions throughout the year,” Reid said. As a new member of We Care’s board, Reid is looking forward to taking Flanagan’s part one step further in helping kids with disabilities realize their full potential.
Founded in 1983, We Care is a Canadian organization whose mission is to send children with disabilities to summer camp through collaborative efforts with the foodservice and hospitality community.
