QSRs introduce innovative offers for fall

Often with the changing of the seasons, comes the introduction of new QSR LTOs, as restaurants continue to compete for diner attention and dollars. Chains are getting even more creative with their offerings, working hard to embrace value, innovation, and delivering a superior customer experience.

Here are some of the fall QSR LTOs recently introduced:

McDonald’s is embracing the global inspiration trend with the return of an updated Heist Menu, available for a limited time in Canada until September 14.  The menu features international fan-favourite items, including the Maple BBQ & Bacon Double Quarter Pounder, Pineapple McSpicy, Garlic and Black Pepper McNuggets, Sour Cream and Black Pepper McShaker Fries, Mac & Cheese Triangles, Choco Caramel Pie, Caramel Pretzel or Chocolate Pretzel McFlurry, and a Sakura X Sprite beverage. The long list of items aims to make it exciting for guests to keep coming back to try them all.

KFC Canada has introduced Wicked Wednesdays: a new weekly drop serving up value items Wednesdays, for one day only.  The promo focuses on value and will rotate weekly to offer something new each time. With a new offer appearing online and instore each week, the promo encourages customers to be on the app, checking the offer, and taking advantage of the menu item before it’s gone.

Subway is entering its value era, introducing its first-ever discounted menu called Fresh For Less, aimed at making lunch more accessible for guests. The lineup features a variety of items for breakfast, snacks, lunch, and side options for under $5 each. Some of the menu highlights include the Hot Honey Pepperoni Pizza Snackwich, Turkey Caesar Snackwich, Meatball Marinara Protein Cup, Fiesta Beans & Corn Salad, Breakfast Ciabatta Sandwiches, and Doritos® Footlong Nachos. “Our State of Lunch Report found that lunch is an important part of the workday for Canadians, but rising food costs are making it harder to find the freshness and quality they want at a comfortable price,” said Denny Downie, Managing Director and Head of Marketing at Subway Canada. “The Fresh For Less Menu brings those priorities together, without asking Canadians to settle on flavour, quality or variety.”

Diners are seeking better value and memorable experiences from their restaurant visits and chains are getting creative in focusing on those priorities for their guests to stay relevant and boost the bottom line.
