MediaEdge Communications took home a pair of awards in the B2B division at the Canadian Online Publishing Awards last night.
Restobiz won gold for best trade website, while REMI Network editor Barbara Carss took home silver for best investigative article or series. This is the first win at the COPAs for Restobiz and the second for Carss, who won silver in 2017 for best industry feature in the B2B division.
In a statement, Kevin Brown, MediaEdge’s president, thanked both editorial teams for the work they put in.
“Winning these prestigious awards is a testament to the hard work and dedication of the talented teams behind RestoBiz and the REMI Network, including editors, writers, web designers and marketing professionals. This achievement confirms that they continue to deliver relevant, interesting and valued information to our audiences in the real estate management and restaurant and foodservice industries.”
In an email, Chuck Nervick, the publisher of Restobiz and its print magazine, Canadian Restaurant & Foodservice News, echoed Brown’s sentiment.
“This award is dedicated to the talented digital and editorial team at MediaEdge Communications, our impressive group of freelance writers and contributors, and to all Canadian foodservice industry professionals who regularly visit our website for industry-leading content that helps them with their day-to-day operations.”
Former Restobiz editor Kavita Sabharwal-Chomiuk and REMI Network editor Michelle Ervin were both nominated for best industry feature in the B2B division, while Restobiz was also nominated for best digital solution.
