The newest selection of restaurants was recently revealed in the 2025 Toronto Michelin Guide, adding two new restaurants to the list. Following its launch in the city in 2022, this is the second year the guide has looked outside the Toronto city limits, including restaurants located up to two hours away.
The Michelin Guide follows judging criteria, including quality products, the harmony of flavours, cooking technique mastery, the chef’s personality expressed in the cuisine, and consistency with multiple visits to honour each year’s winners.
“2025 marks another impressive year for the Toronto restaurant scene,” says Gwendal Poullennec, international director of the Michelin Guide. The Toronto region now boasts one restaurant with two Michelin stars,16 restaurants with one Michelin star, and 26 eateries with the Bib Gourmand recognition, honouring “eateries for great food at a great value.”
Two new restaurants were added to this year’s list, along with the list below restaurants that held onto their existing stars.
In this year’s guide, Toronto’s Asian fine dining restaurant aKin, was awarded one Michelin Star, and Restaurant Pearl Morrissette (located outside of Toronto) was promoted to two stars. Additionally, these restaurants maintained their one Michelin star in the 2025 guide.
