Uber’s new stand-alone app allows Calgarians to order food from their favorite local restaurants
The Uber Western Canada team has launched UberEATS, a new food delivery service – with more than 70 restaurants partners – for which Calgarians let us know they are craving.
UberEATS is an on-demand food delivery app that helps bring Calgarians the food they want at the tap of a button. UberEATS offers meals for every taste and occasion. From local favorites to everyday national brands, the service offers a wide-selection of food options, all conveniently available in one place and delivered fast and fresh–with the reliability you’ve come to expect from Uber.
That means whatever the craving – late-night snack, post-workout boost, or nutritious dinner for the whole family – it’s just a click away. Starting today, UberEATS will be delivering a wide selection of quality eats from places like restaurants from the Teatro Group, Workshop Kitchen & Culture, and Tuk Tuk Thai directly to hungry Calgarians.
“By partnering with more than 70 local Calgary restaurants, we are proud to help Calgarians order food from their favorites restaurants – at the push of a button. Beyond great meals, UberEATS creates new flexible economic opportunities for restaurant and delivery partners that will benefit Calgary’s economy,” said Dan Park, Canada UberEATS General Manager
The app gives Calgary eaters, restaurant partners, and delivery partners more options. Hundreds of Calgary restaurants can now connect to the Uber delivery network to expand their businesses and reach a new marketplace. Delivery partners also gain access to even more flexible earning opportunities.
“We are thrilled for the opportunity to offer delivery through our partnership with UberEats. Calgary has a dynamic culinary scene that extends past our restaurant walls and we see this extension of our business as an opportunity to provide our guests with the Teatro Group dining experience in the comfort of their own homes. As a restaurant group of nearly 25 years, staying current with dining trends has been vital to our success. There is a large demand for gourmet takeout delivery and we are excited that we can now provide this service to our patrons.” said Karen Kho, Operations Manager, Teatro Group Restaurants.
