Superfruits are like the cape-donning heroes of the fruit and vegetable world. While all fruit is good for us, superfruit are just a little more loaded with antioxidants than their “regular” counterparts.  Over the last couple of years, superfruit, such as goji or acai berries, became popular additions to North Americans’ palates. And the trend is far from over. According to 2014 Canadian Chef Survey, they are still in the top three trends when it comes to produce. Canadians simply want nutritional powerhouses on their plates.

But do they all have to be exotic finds?

No, there are plenty of superfruits right in our own backyards. How about blueberries? Or apples? They’re packed with nutrients and antioxidants and ready to make your lives healthier. Below are some tips for including superfruits on your menus.


  • For breakfast options, give your customers a yogurt parfait, loaded with blueberries, cranberries and goji berries.
  • ut together a delicious smoothie. You can get creative with the fruit combination yourself, or give your customers the option to build their own.
