SUBWAY Canada introduces a turkey sandwich like no other

Press release

Give in to goodness with the new Carved Turkey Sandwich

In a season all about comfort food, SUBWAY Canada is giving customers a new way to give in to their Sandwish with a sandwich like no other. The Carved Turkey sandwich, made with thick-cut slices of 100 per cent Canadian turkey and topped with an all new cranberry mustard sauce, is now available nationwide at participating locations, for a limited time.

Continuing the commitment to eliminate artificial colours, flavours and preservatives from its menu and also source Canadian products wherever possible, SUBWAY restaurants is sourcing the ‘free from’ oven-roasted turkey exclusively from Canadian farmers.

“When SUBWAY began using Canadian turkey for its classic turkey breast sandwich, we were thrilled,” says Mark Davies, Chair of Turkey Farmers of Canada. “To source Canadian turkey again for this new sandwich shows their continued commitment to Canadian agriculture. We’re proud to provide the turkey for this premium sandwich, continuing our partnership with SUBWAY and making it easy for Canadians to support their nation’s farmers.”

To complement the new Carved Turkey sandwich, SUBWAY Canada is also adding a new limited edition apple pie cookie to the menu along with two flavours of IZZE sparkling juices, which will be available exclusively at SUBWAY restaurants. IZZE sparkling juice beverages are made with 100% real fruit juice from concentrate, no added sugar, no preservatives and no caffeine, making them the perfect sandwich pairing.

“Our mission is to provide Canadians with on-the-go meal options they can feel good about,” says Chef Chris Martone, executive chef for SUBWAY restaurants. “The Carved Turkey sandwich is a great example of this. Paired with a cranberry mustard, it’s a premium sandwich that’s fit for the fall.”
