The holidays are upon us! With Christmas and Hanukkah happening at the same time this year, there is plenty to celebrate! As we know, celebrations include lots and lots of food, which is one of the most exciting parts. This is a time of year where people tend to enjoy themselves and indulge a little. Including comforting, festive dishes into your restaurant during the holidays will help keep your customers satisfied and happy. These ideas below can be incorporated into your menu for some holiday spirit.
Latkes
Whether you are Jewish or not, latkes are a tasty treat and can be enjoyed in a variety of different ways. You can keep it classic with a regular potato latke, or try switching things up by using sweet potatoes, or even adding in vegetables such as zucchini or cauliflower. No matter what you fry up, it is sure to be delicious and perfect for Hanukkah.
Eggnog
A nice cozy cocktail is always welcomed during the holidays. If your customers love eggnog, but also love drinking, an eggnog cocktail is a fabulous combination of the two. The creamy texture of eggnog mixed with alcohol is just what your customers need to celebrate the holidays.
Prime Rib
A nice cut of meat can go a long way in satisfying hungry diners, especially during the holidays. Prime rib feels a little more elegant, which is perfect for a special occasion like the holidays. This will also feel extra special for diners to enjoy something hearty and comforting without having to lift a finger.
Mashed Potatoes
This creamy potato dish can be served in a range of ways, or can remain classic if that is more your restaurant’s vibe. Rich mashed potatoes with just the right amount of butter and cream always hits the spot. Feel free to get creative and add in other ingredients or flavours, which are sure to be a hit.
Gingerbread cake
Nothing quite says “the holidays” than gingerbread. The flavours and spices bring about such a warm, nostalgic feeling. A gingerbread cake is a fabulous way to display these flavours for your guests. This sweet ending will be just what they need to finish off a delicious holiday meal.
Enjoy some fabulous food during the holidays and don’t forget to indulge a little. After all, one of the best parts of the holidays is the food! Have a safe and happy holiday season!
