Summer is an amazing time to be a chef. Right now, it’s easier than ever to prepare healthy, flavourful dishes in your kitchen because so many delicious, nutritious varieties of produce are in season! Whether or not you offer a seasonal menu, now is a fantastic time to buy local produce for the freshest flavours.

Here’s what you should be including on your menu during the summer: arugula, avocados, beets, berries, chard, cherries, chilli peppers, corn, cucumbers, eggplant, figs, green beans, herbs, melons, okra, potatoes, salad greens, spinach, stone fruits, summer squash, sweet peppers, tomatillos, tomatoes and watermelon.
