OpenTable launches new destination within their platform

Diners now have a new way to discover and book Toronto’s hottest and most in-demand tables, with OpenTable’s recently launched Icons, a new destination within the platform highlighting the best of the best restaurants. This feature was designed to reflect the iconic status of these restaurants with enhanced branding and an elevated search experience, curating the top hot spots and surfacing the soonest they can get a table via OpenTable.

To earn the designation of an OpenTable Icon, restaurants must meet criteria including accolades like MICHELIN Stars and Bib Gourmand Awards, positive diner and critic reviews, celebrated chefs, and strong diner interest, among other factors.

“Toronto is known for an abundance of award-winning restaurants that feature a variety of international cuisines, which are reflected on Icons,” said Matt Davis, Country Director, OpenTable Canada. “Icons supports Toronto diners by showing them the earliest they can get an OpenTable reservation at these in-demand restaurants. Enhancing the search capabilities is another way in which OpenTable helps elevate dining experiences, from discovering to reserving tables.”
