Tip of the Week Sponsored By:
As far as marketing your restaurant goes, sending out an e-newsletter is a fast, cost-effective and easy way to get brand recognition up for your restaurant and help garner customer loyalty.
Send an e-newsletter out once per month advertising a new menu or any specials you have coming up. Consider offering a coupon in every e-newsletter. As far as profits go, this shouldn’t impact your bottom line but will help create strong brand loyalty. Once customers come in, they’ll feel appreciated. These warm and fuzzy feelings will make them that much more likely to come back. Some email marketing programs only require you to pay for the emails you send, so the cost does not have to be high for maximum impact. Use a lot of photos to make the e-newsletter visually compelling. Just be sure to have someone with excellent language and grammar skills review your email before you send it out, just in case!
The hardest part of this whole process will be getting email addresses to populate your recipient list, but that can easily be fixed by offering guests something in return for their email address: how about offering a coupon for $20 off their next meal, or a free appetizer or dessert? You want to give them a reason to give you their information and consent to receive emails without taking too large a risk. Luckily, coupons save them money and perks make them feel appreciated, so you’re bound to have more visitors come in to check out your restaurant at least once.
Your final marketing push is your food, ambiance and service. Ensure you’re doing everything you can to make this a positive experience for them. You want to make it impossible for them to forget about your restaurant and keep them coming back.
