Fruity, indulgent beverages flavour spring and summer menus

Diner preferences continue to influence trends and restaurant menus, and as a result, beverages are getting glow-ups to reflect seasonal tastes. New QSR drinks are blooming this season, adding colour, flavour, and indulgence to the menu, from refreshers to dirty sodas and beyond.

Second Cup recently introduced its spring and summer offerings, featuring fruity options like the Strawberry & Matcha, Coconut Grapefruit Refresher, and Dragon Peach Infuzer. For more indulgent options, the Nanaimo Bar Flash Brew and Creamy Vanilla Fizz are now available, and the Iced Coconut Latte, Sweet Dragon Fizz, and Hibiscus Sweet Breeze Iced Tea round out the menu.

McDonald’s Canada has recently added six seasonal beverages to the menu. Three lemonade-based refreshers in Strawberry Watermelon, Mango Pineapple, and Blackberry Passion Fruit have been introduced, along with three dirty sodas, including the Sprite Berry Blast, Orange Dream, and Dirty Dr. Pepper.

Taco Bell recently debuted dirty sodas, called Dirty Sips. This feature allows guests to add a “swirl of vanilla crème” to the restaurant’s drinks, from the Mountain Dew Baja Blast, to sodas, lemonade, and frozen beverages. The Dirty Sips charge is just thirty cents for the upgrade, bringing together the demand for personalization and the dirty soda trend.

Paris Baguette is getting fruity this season, adding new fresh mint lemonades, including Korean Plum Gochu, Strawberry Mint Lemonade, Fresh Mint Lemonade and Peach Mint Arnold Palmer, along with a new Strawberry Lemonade Refresher. On the indulgent side, the spring menu includes new beverages like the Iced Irish Cream Latte (featuring edible gold), Milk & Cereal Frappe, Latte with Nutella®, Iced Latte with Nutella®, Sweet Cream Cold Brew with Nutella®, and Frappe with Nutella®. Also included in the menu update are the Lavender Matcha Frappe, Korean Iced Milk Coffee, and Mango/Strawberry Smoothies.

From dirty sodas to fruity refreshers, QSRs are adding flavour and personality to their spring and summer beverage menus.
