Spring beverage menus have begun to bloom

As the end of winter approaches, some spring QSR beverage menus are emerging to help drive traffic and get guests excited to try the newest seasonal flavours. With some launching in early March, spring LTOs seem to be arriving earlier in the year, as customers anticipate what will be new and exciting for the upcoming season:

Starbucks has recently released a new seasonal beverage menu, featuring some brand new items on this year’s lineup. The Toasted Coconut Latte (available hot or cold) and the Toasted Coconut Cream Cold Brew are menu additions, featuring the new Toasted Coconut Syrup and Toasted Coconut Cream Cold Foam, along with the Iced Ube Coconut Macchiato and Ube Coconut Latte (featuring the new Ube Coconut Cream Cold Foam) and the new Iced Lavender Cream Chai. The Iced Cherry Chai also joins the Canadian menu, along with reimagined chai offerings that allow guests to better customize their orders.

Dunkin has gone bananas with its new spring menu, adding a Banana Puddin’ Cloud Latte, Banana Daydream Refreshers, Bananarama Iced Matcha, Banana Iced Protein Latte, Monkey Business Cloud Latte, Nutty Banana Cloud Dunkalatte, Banana Frozen Chocolate, and Banana Shaken Espresso. Non-banana additions to the spring menu include a Blueberry Pie Matcha, Dunkin Zero energy drinks, and a Berry Açaí Refresher.

A&W Restaurants recently launched the REVV’d Up Root Beer (featuring REVV Cold Brew Coffee, A&W® Root Beer, and a splash of cream) and the Root Beer Cream Freeze (made with REVV Cold Brew Coffee and A&W® Root Beer blended with vanilla soft serve). These beverages are available for a limited time only.

Chic-fil-A debuted new Strawberry Hibiscus beverages this season, adding the Strawberry Hibiscus & Sprite®, Strawberry Hibiscus Lemonade, Strawberry Hibiscus Frosted Lemonade and Strawberry Hibiscus Sunjoy to the menu. These additions are available at select locations for a limited time.

Burger King recently added the Frozen Fanta Strawberries & Cream to the spring menu in some regions. The drink features frozen strawberry soda, vanilla cold foam, and a layer of strawberry shortcake crumbles. The decadent drink is now available at participating Burger King locations and is available in three sizes, starting at $2.49.

As we head towards warmer weather, more spring menus are sure to emerge as operators make the most of seasonal flavours and menu innovation.
